Fuzzy-Felts were created by Lois Allen during the second world war. Wife of Pilot Peter Alan, Lois wanted to help with the war effort so offered her outhouses to the war office to become a factory for felt cutting. Many of the women working in the outhouses had children and Lois, a great designer, started to encourage the children to make shapes from the off cuts of felt and an old tablemat. Fuzzy-Felts were born!
